The University of Kamalia is a newly established public university located in Punjab Province in Kamalia, Toba Tek Singh District found on 8 September 2022. It will be a model teaching and research institute to meet the needs of society and play a key role in national development. Instead of stereotyped and traditional educational programs, modern/demand-oriented educational offerings are offered to respond to present and future challenges. 1.    UNIVERSITY Of Kamalia ACT 2022 (XVII Year 2022) [8. September 2022] Act of establishment of Kamalia University. In the public interest, it is necessary to make arrangements for the establishment of Kamalia University and its supporting affairs. Was issued by the Punjab Provincial Assembly as follows: CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION 1. Short and Initial Title. – (1) This law can be referred to as the Kamalia University Law, 2022. (2) This law comes into force on the date determined by the Department of Administration by notification in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions.- In this Act: (a) "Academic Council" means the University Academic Council; (b) “Department of Administration” means the Government Department of Higher Education; (c) “Authority” means the University's authority as defined in Section 27; (d) "Chairman" means the head of a University department; (e) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor of the University; (f) "College" means the academic-administrative entity established, administered and maintained by the University in the prescribed manner; (g) “Committee” means the Higher Education Commission established pursuant to the Higher Education Commission Regulation 2002 (LIII of 2002); (h) "Constituent College" means a college maintained and administered by the University; (i) "Examining Officer" means the University Examining Officer; (j) “Dean” means the Chair of the Faculty; 1 This Act was passed by the Punjab Provincial Assembly on 31 August 2022; and will be deemed to have been approved by the Governor of Punjab within the meaning of Article 116(3) of the Constitution; and published in Punjab Gazette (Exceptional), Date: 08 September 2022, p. 393-490
